The 2025 Anatomical Kind Hands Tour with Julie Harris
About the day:
Starting at 09:30 a.m. until about 04:00 p.m.
In the morning Julie will host an interactive theory session, uncovering her 'Kind Hands' philosophy and how that creates grooming success.
After a lunch and shopping break, we will return to the classroom for a practical demonstration of handling and scissoring technique.
Topics covered:
- Anatomy and how to use Julie's Kind Hands method to handle sympathetically to avoid salon stress.
- Understanding skin and recognising common conditions.
- Coat type definitions and characteristics - what that means for groomers, including matting and appropriate styling.
- The impact of products. How to choose wisely for the best results.
Who is this for?:
For those just starting their grooming journey, this day represents an investment in avoiding multiple mistakes. With this knowledge you will understand how to work empathetically with the dogs you groom and avoid the escalation of stress.
If you are an experienced groomer there will be multiple 'light-bulb' moments with practical tips to start using straight away for immediate improvement. The day represents the latest information on these topics and how they can be used.
If you are a past or present student at Rodbaston please contact Amy directly for tickets.
